Responsibilities:
The Sourcing Contractor manages a portfolio of technology, professional services, and real estate-related products and services spending categories and business relationships, and serves as key individual contributor on a team responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving sourcing strategies that maximize value and minimize risk for the Bank. Serving as one of the faces of Procurement Value Management (“PVM”) to the internal clients and vendor community, the Sourcing Contractor is responsible for building and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including Bank business line clients and partners, other  industry counterparts, and suppliers.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the full strategic sourcing life-cycle for strategic sourcing initiatives, from partnering with Subject Matter Expert (SME) teams to defining scope and identifying requirements to conducting the competitive bidding (RFx) process to vendor evaluation and negotiation of pricing and contract terms.

• Apply industry expertise and practices in the design and implementation of category strategies and strategic sourcing execution in support of client business needs across the Bank.

• Identify and support effective strategic sourcing and category management strategies for portfolio of technology, professional services, and real estate-related products and services spend categories through a variety of procurement tools and practices, including spend analysis, market analysis and business intelligence, requirements gathering, stakeholder relationship, and client engagement management.

• Ensure established category strategies are aligned with and support the overall business goals and needs of client departments and the Bank.

• Build and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders and clients.

• Serve as a resource for identifying qualified suppliers that can meet the Bank’s strategic objectives, business needs, and policies.

• Ensure that supplier diversity considerations are involved in category and strategic sourcing strategies and strategic sourcing project planning and implementation. Continually update existing diverse supplier database with new market and industry research findings. Measure performance against established supplier diversity-related metrics. Actively support the advancement of the Bank’s supplier diversity program.

• Engage in strategic sourcing and process excellence efforts of benchmarking, performance measurement, and reporting.

• Introduce ideas to drive operational improvement, best practices, and continuous enhancement of the PVM function.

• Provide feedback into roadmap that forecasts and prioritizes strategic sourcing project demand based on collected business intelligence, data analysis, and industry insights.

• Promote and enable compliance with Bank policies.

• Participate in Bank and System initiatives and projects.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in strategic sourcing and contracting with experience across technology, professional services, and real estate-related products and services

• Strong subject matter expertise in spend analysis, market analysis, RFX development and evaluation, and contract negotiation.

• Proven ability to lead and manage projects and achieve operational and performance excellence.

• Ability to think strategically and to foster and drive continuous improvement; ongoing intellectual curiosity.

• Strong business acumen with positive, solution-oriented approach.

• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and to prioritize work.

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to clearly communicate the value of strategic sourcing services and practices to clients and other stakeholders.

• Ability to build and maintain strong partnerships internally and externally to achieve objectives.

• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to develop and deliver clear, concise, and persuasive communications and presentations to senior-level audiences.

• Influencing skills and style that is effective across all levels of the organization.

• Ability to work effectively as a member of a high-performing team in a positive and inclusive work environment.

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain management, or related field is required.
