Job Description

 

  • Implements/monitors established Returns/Defective policies in accordance with customer agreements
  • Implements/monitors established Returns/Defective policies in accordance with corporate guidelines
  • Ensures the above two processes are coordinated with maximum efficiency and effectiveness for both the corporation and customer and resolves any conflicts of interest
  • Responds/researches inquiries from corporate customers seeking product return authorization
  • Processes returns paperwork received from various corporate locations
  • Facilitates returns utilizing UPS and common carriers
  • Responds to carriers seeking disposition of damaged or refused shipments or items. 
  • Works closely with credit analysts and assistants to help resolve damage/shortage issues. Files freight claims for lost and damaged shipments
  • Utilizes Return Management Authorization module to record/track/maintain all return requests
  • Utilizes strong verbal and written communications skills to successfully interact with customers, credit department personnel, other company associates and management. 
  • Utilizes Intermediate to advanced EXCEL skills in managing and reporting
  • Engages strong organizational and problem solving skills to achieve timely and effective problem resolution
  • Utilizes experience in transportation and/or retail logistics including, but not limited to, knowledge of transportation terminology and paperwork for common carriers, UPS and FEDX
  • Utilizes Return Management Authorization module to record/track/maintain all return requests

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills needed to successfully interact with customers, credit department personnel, other company associates and management.  The ability to write in clear, concise language is a must.
  • Intermediate to advanced EXCEL skills a must
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills; ability to prioritize tasks 
  • Experience in transportation and/or retail logistics required including, but not limited to, knowledge of transportation terminology and paperwork for common carriers, UPS and FEDX
  • Experience in resolving/vetting various retail customer transportation claims preferred.
