Job Description:

Our client in the financial services industry is seeking an Associate-Director level Multimedia Engineer for a full time position in their Weehawken, NJ, office.

This person will be responsible for delivering and maintaining integrated video conferencing and streaming solutions, and will act as a technical expert, interfacing with Marketing, Engineering and Regional & Global Operations Multimedia teams and helping to define the way the company's infrastructure operates. You will be part of a team that is dedicated to providing the underlying technology to support business operations within the company and supports the organization's clients on a 24x5 basis. 


Responsibilities will include:

– Providing 2nd & 3rd level SME  support for high visibility senior executive webcasts, replays and major incidents involving the multimedia infrastructure (in 24x5 function)

– Provide real Time executive support for internal & client facing broadcasts; including on site participation at Home Office locations

– Regularly interface with L1/L2 Video as a Service (VaaS) operations team (based in India) in daily reviews and serve as escalation point for any multimedia outages

– Daily oversight on incident tracking and response, planned multimedia activities, client requests and project support

– Ensuring adherence to SLA's and applying best practices across the multimedia space

– Providing client solutions based on global standards and hardware blueprints

– Facilitating / participating in client calls to review solutions

– Providing capital and resource requirements to Service Delivery team

– Providing design documentation including operational processes and procedures

– Interfacing with marketing teams who provide content of live webcasts

– Interfacing with engineering on new deployments ensuring smooth transition to production support


Job Requirements:


– Bachelor's Degree preferred (preferably in computer science or similar technical degree)

– 5-10+ years of hands-on experience with streaming and video applications

– Must have experience in a large organization, producing large town halls / simulcast / webcast events for CEO/CIO/CTO level audiences

– Thorough understanding of underlying technologies (Windows server, LDAP, SQL server, networking (multicast)

– Understanding of complex video streaming and Content Management System (CMS) environments

– Experience with digital signage using Vbrick and Cisco Digital Media Players / DMM / AppSpace or similar

– Experience in Desktop TV and IPTV using WMP / Silverlight / Flash / HTML5 / DASH

– Knowledge of Load Balancers, SQL Servers, Active Directory, Proxy, .NET/Windows and Linux

– Ability to troubleshoot quickly and under pressure during live events

– Experience in working with dynamic teams with self-directed roles

– Ability to manage multiple work streams/projects/roles simultaneously, as well as the ability to handle challenging situations

– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
