Our team is seeking a Network Engineer with a focus on performance and reliability monitoring to round out our elite team of engineers and support specialists. The right person for this role is geared toward service discovery and performance record keeping.  We are looking for someone that can collaborative collect loosely structured data then constructively present to help redefine our next-level goals.

Responsibilities:

·Plan, coordinate, and deploy network capture and performance timing nodes globally.

·Gather, curate, and analyze data from disparate sources to form a cohesive data model.

·Evaluate and implement commercial solutions that augment our network architecture with an operational view.

·Develop dynamic thresholds and statistical process controls to alert on anomalous behavior.

·Aide in developing both data product and analysis tools for the ongoing refinement of the end-to-end infrastructure systems.

 

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

·Minimum 4 years of experience as a network administrator or engineer is required.

·Minimum 4 years of experience in network or security operations is required.

·Hands on experience in a multi-vendor environment (ie. Cisco, Arista, F5, etc.) is required.

·Experience monitoring complex Layer2/3 networks with multicast at scale is required.

·Proficiency with scripting languages (Perl, Python, etc.) and data models (SQL, etc.) is required.

·Above average proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and diagraming (Microsoft Office + Visio) tools is required.

Education:

·BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a similar field required.

·MS or higher in an engineering discipline is preferred.

·Relevant vendor certification (CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, etc.) is highly preferred.

·Attribution or authorship of relevant work product (ACM, IETF, etc.) is considered.
