Job Description:

Our client in the financial services industry is seeking a Portfolio Manager to work within their Risk IT Portfolio Management team. This team oversees an important portfolio of programs driven by regulatory changes and provides program and project management services to support strategic programs and projects.

- Work collaboratively with Project Managers regarding planning and execution of projects

- Perform financial controlling and ensure full resource utilization across the portfolio

- Forecast and execute hiring plans based on the demand pipeline

- Provide administrative support to project managers using agreed upon project management methodologies



Job Requirements:


- Bachelor's Degree required

- 5-10 years of experience managing a portfolio of projects

- Prior experience in the financial industry working in IT Risk / projects driven by regulatory changes

- Strong MS Excel skills, with the ability to join tables and create pivot tables with ease

- Excellent organizational, problem solving and leadership skills

- Ability to take responsibility and stay focused on objectives with a can-do attitude

- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

- Self-motivated, ability to take ownership and accountability for tasks and people

- Results-oriented, assertive

- Organized, detail-oriented

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

- Ability to interact comfortably with stakeholders at all levels
