Starpoint Solutions Hosts Speaker Series on Investment Risk Part One: “Investment Risk: Risk Limits vs. Risk Management”

The first event “Investment Risk: Risk Limits vs. Risk Management” will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at The Langham Hotel Boston in Boston, Massachusetts and will be repeated on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at The Cornell Club New York in New York, New York.

Attendance for the seminar is open to senior managers, directors, strategists, analysts, and researchers seeking the latest knowledge and best practices in portfolio risk management.

Attendees will learn how to use a portfolio risk platform to do more than just monitor compliance with risk limits. Presenting at the seminar are Abraham L. Wons and Henry Zelikovsky, Chief Technology Officer of Starpoint Solutions.

Abraham L. Wons is a recognized practitioner on the subject of risk management in the investment management industry, presenting regularly to industry groups and at conferences. He successfully built effective and efficient risk management and control functions in large domestic and global investment management organizations, including Wellington Management, American Express Financial Advisors, Deutsche Asset Management, and Zurich Scudder Investments. He worked collaboratively with investment personnel, compliance and legal professionals and operational support functions. His early experience includes senior international audit and control and trading operations roles. He has contributed to industry guidelines and is an active member of several industry groups.

Henry Zelikovsky has extensive background in custom-engineering and development of software solutions for the Financial Services industry. As Chief Technology Officer at Starpoint Solutions, Henry provides technical direction in planning and creating solutions for Starpoint's Professional Development Services team, which provides clients with high-tech development, R&D and advisory services. He also manages the technical staff at Starpoint's Eastern European facilities in Moscow and Kiev.

Henry has an extensive background in software solutions development primarily for the financial services industry and communications software for the telecommunications industry. While working for companies like Merrill Lynch, Bank of New York and AT&T, Henry designed and developed real-time financial data systems, mission-critical trading floor applications, and internal analytical systems.
